Warranty terms and conditions for FyneMods hand built box mods and squonkers.
These terms and conditions only apply to the custom hand built box mods and squonkers built by myself here at FyneMods.

All FyneMods Mods and squonkers are custom hand built to order.
Each one is unique and built to your requirements, for this reason i require an upfront deposit prior to starting any work.
This deposit is non refundable and is your commitment to completing the purchase.
The deposit is deducted from the final total.
For example a mod costing £350 I would require a £140 deposit, the leaves a remaining balance of £210 to be paid when the mod is complete.
If the remaining balance is not paid within 2 weeks of me contacting you to let you know your mod is complete the contract between us will be cancelled, your finished mod will be offered for general sale to recover costs and you will loss your original deposit.
Each mod is built by me from scratch and depending on the number of current orders i have will denote the timescale i quote for completing your mod.
The usual timescale is around 12 weeks, this can vary depending on the number of other customer orders i have and the complexity of builds.
It does not take 12 weeks to build one mod in-fact it only take between 3 to 6 days but i have to work through the existing orders in date order.
Because of this you may not get build updates until the last couple of weeks of the quote times.
Please be patient during this time.
Sometimes build times can be 14/16 or 18 weeks or possibly longer due to either busy periods or the unpredictable nature of complex hand built mods.
Please try and refrain from messaging me or emailing me asking for updates as all this does is means i spend more time replying to emails than actually building mods.
All FyneMods hand built box mods and squonkers are covered by a lifetime warranty and after sales care.
The warranty is not transferable and will only be valid for the original purchaser of the product(s)
Proof of purchase must also be provided when returning a fynemods box for repair or service under warranty.
This Limited Warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from, but not limited to, any of the following:
- Wear and tear associated with normal use
- Any modification, abuse, accident, disassembly, misapplication, or unauthorized repair
- Any improper operation or use not in accordance with Product instructions or technical specifications
- Any other cause which does not relate to a defect in materials or workmanship
(in layman terms) The lifetime warranty does not cover general wear and tear however we are happy to discuss giving your box a freshen up under the lifetime aftersales care.
The Lifetime warranty Covers all components of the device including regulated boards and electronics.
The lifetime warranty should not be abused and it is down to the owner to look after and care for there mod.
Each mod is supplied with full detailed instructions on how to care for your product including details about waxing your box.
What to do if a problem occurs-
If you discover a fault or have a problem with you new hand built mod please contact me straight away and explain the issue, We will have a discussion to work out what the problem is and if its something i can advise on the customer trying i will do so, however most of the time i would require the device being sent back to me for inspection and fault fixing.
Please remember that it is only me here that builds the mods, replies to emails and runs fynemods, Each mod is hand built and as is the nature of such things on rare occasions problems can occur each device is unique and a one of a kind and for that reason the possibly of a problem is much higher that that of say a long term developed mass produced item from a big company that has almost unlimited money thrown into design and testing.
Because of this I will always try my hardest to rectify any problems that do occur, My top priority is happy customers and treating people as i would wish to be treated.
All i ask is that a little patience and understanding is given and allowing me the opportunity to fix any issues is greatly appreciated.
